If you were around in the 70’s, there was one poster that captured the attention of every young man in the world. No, not Farah – the Lamborghini Countach! That poster single handedly started the Super Car revolution and started countless teenagers on a journey of automotive passion! Today, there are countless ways to display your love of all things four-wheeled.

Here’s a selection of our favorites that we think are a great addition to any home office.

1. Manufacture Logo Signs for Office Walls

You can find these for Ford to Ferrari, Pontiac to Porsche. Pick your favorite and fly your flag – or mix and match for a unique automotive collage. A great source for these is Amazon. Just search for your manufacture of choice and add “metal sign” (i.e. Ferrari metal sign).

2. 3D Printed Racetrack

When I first saw these, back in the early days of 3D printing, I was amazed. What a cool idea! Now you can find these for just about every racetrack on the planet. They can be placed just about anywhere in your office to add a bit of racing ambiance. And they make great conversation pieces as most, non racing enthusiasts, are scratching their heads trying to figure out what that oddly shape piece of plastic could possibly be. Etsey has a good selection.

3. Office Wall Art – Automotive Blueprints

I love these things! You can find them for Mustangs to Maserati’s and they look great framed as a home office centerpiece. They come printed on canvas, paper, metal or glass in a size that will fit just about any room configuration. These have become quite popular and can be found at jus about any art website that carries auto memorabilia. Try iCanvas, Fine Art America or Displate, to start.

4. What about Diecast for your Desk?

People have been collecting diecast cars since the early twentieth century when they were made of either lead or zinc alloys. Most of us were introduced to the idea through iconic brands like Matchbox and Hot Wheels. Today, the term is used to describe a variety of production methods but the purpose is the same – to fuel our our passion for cool cars or all types. When it come to prices, the sky’s the limit with cars ranging from a few bucks to seven figures! But most fall into an appropriate budget range that doesn’t break our offices’ back.

If you’re fortunate enough to be in a position where you can afford high-end diecasts, check out The Amalgam Collection or Exoto. Another cool idea for any office desk would be the exotic engine models from CMC Classic Model Cars.

5. Gas Pump Gumball Machine

When the mid-afternoon lulls hit, and you need a quick sugar rush to plow through that last piece of work, why not get it from one of these clever sugar dispensers. You can find these as large, free standing units or the desktop variety. Whatever the size works for your office.

6. Large Office Idea – Slot-car track

Granted, a race track will probably require a tad more space than a gumball machine, and won’t be a fit for every home office, but what a way to break up the doldrums of the day! You can find these in a variety of sizes and race series, realistic or whimsical themes. This one will definitely require a little discipline (remember, you’re in your home office to work) but when you need a break or recharge, a couple of laps can be just the ticket.

7. Office Wall Art – Road Signs

Road signs in your home office can be used fun and entertainment. Need something to remind you to not go the WRONG WAY? Been stuck with writers block and need a DETOUR? Need a break to do some, “head bangin'” – SLIPPERY WHEN WET 😜. There are a varity of vendors that offer these in the usual fare or you can have on made custom, to your specific needs.

8. Office Wall Art – License Plates (Tags)

I stumbled across these clever ideas while browsing on Etsy. Loved them so much had to buy one for my office. You can have them produced to say just about anything you want. Another idea is collecting plates from the states you’ve visited – or perhaps do business in??? Happy hunting!

9. Wall Clocks

I know, nothing unique or creative here. But what if you had clocks displaying the time from headquarters of your favorite manufactures or racetracks? Think of the possibilities? Monaco to Michigan? Indy to Maranello? You could crank it up a notch by having the clock faces custom made to display the car or track logos. Go wild!
